Hiring Is Only the Beginning
Hiring the right people is only half the equation. Once they’re here, I have to help them thrive. From my perspective, that starts with clarity: clear expectations, strong documentation, and open communication. Nobody should have to guess where they stand or what success looks like.
Clarity Creates Confidence
I believe deeply in setting people up for success. That means giving my team reliable systems, defined processes, and the space to grow. If someone’s stuck, I want to understand why, and more importantly, what we can change to unblock them.
When expectations are clear and systems are solid, people can focus on doing their best work instead of navigating uncertainty.
Collaboration Over Competition
Our culture at Acadia Bay is deeply collaborative. We’re not internally competitive. There are no games, no second-guessing, and no ego-driven silos.
People are encouraged to speak their minds, challenge ideas, and help each other, not to “win,” but so we can all improve. That trust shows up in the quality of our work and in how we support one another day to day.
Mindset Matters More Than Experience
Experience helps, especially in a lean business. But mindset matters more to me.
You can teach someone how to use Salesforce. You can’t teach them to care, think critically, or communicate with empathy. Those qualities shape how people show up for their teammates and for our clients, and they make all the difference.
The Business You’re Building, Every Day
The people you hire, and how you support them, shape everything about your business. They shape the client experience. They shape your daily working life. And ultimately, they shape what kind of company you’re actually building.
